Power brows are a soft natural enhancement done with an automatic tattoo machine and a needle cartridge. We gently shade pigment into the skin that creates a defined and a beautifully powdered look. This is great for anyone who is tired of filling in their brows daily and would like a more permanent solution to fixing their natural brow.
It may not be completely pain free as it is a tattoo and pain tolerance vary between clients. However, during the process we use a numbing solution that works very well and subsides most of the pain throughout the process. On a pain tolerance scale, it may vary from a 1 to a 3.
The healing process can vary depending on many different factors. We do not judge results for at least 4 weeks, however in most cases after 10 days to 2 weeks you can expect your brows to be completely healed over but not right through. (Lip blush and eyeliner heals much quicker. Within one week) Things you can expect are flaking or patches of skin that fall off on their own. Most people feel completely comfortable after their first session going to work or seeing friends and family. Unlike microblading there is absolutely no cutting of the skin. We gently shade pigment into the skin, which is much better for the integrity of the skin and works well with all skin types. Microblading is a tiny blade made up of microneedles, where pigment is implanted into the skin by cutting to create a hair stroke look. Fresh microblading can look great but results can vary greatly depending on many factors, like skin depth, skin type and proper technique. When cutting of the skin is involved it is much more common for scar tissue to build up.
This varies from person to person. Dependent on factors like skin type, skin care, lifestyle, sun exposure, medications and any existing medical conditions. However, in most cases results will last anywhere from 9 months to 1 year or more before a touch up is desired.
The appointment time is 3 hours. It does not always take that long but the time is booked to ensure that we are both comfortable and relaxed.
1 hour is booked for a 6-8 week touch up and 2 hours is booked for yearly touch-ups.
There is meter parking right out front of the studio that is permitted until 3 pm. There are also parking meters located on Caroline and Hess and paid parking lot located at King and Hess. All are within half a block away.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding you cannot have permanent make up.
A consultation is not necessary if you have not had any previous permanent makeup done. However, if you have any further questions or concerns a phone consultation is available.
